Wyckoff Van Der Hoef boarded Titanic at Belfast, Ireland, traveling to Brooklyn, New York.

Wyckoff Van Der Hoef was unique in that he was the only fare-paying passenger to travel between Belfast and Southampton on Titanic's delivery trip.

Wyckoff Van Der Hoef was lost in the sinking of the Titanic, but his body was recovered and identified, and was buried in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, U.S.A.
