William Henry Törnquist boarded the Titanic at Southampton, England, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, traveling to New York City, New York.

William Henry Törnquist was one of the six American Line employees traveling to New York on the Titanic, the others were William Cahoone Johnson, Alfred John Carver, Alfred Johnson, Lionel Leonard, and Thomas Storey.

William Henry Törnquist managed to board Lifeboat No. 15, and survived the sinking of the Titanic.

William Henry Törnquist died on the 13th September, 1946, and he was buried in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Colma, San Mateo County, California, U.S.A.
