Mini Biography

Len Lam boarded the Titanic at Southampton, England, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, traveling to New York City, New York.

Len Lam was one of the eight Donaldson Line employees, whom, because of the coal strike in England, found themselves without a ship, and so were traveling aboard Titanic to New York in order to join a ship there. The other seven Donaldson Line employees were Lee Bing, Ali Lam, Chang Chip, Choong Foo, Lee Ling, Ling Hee and Fang Lang.

Chang Chip, Choong Foo, Ling Hee, Ali Lam, Len Lam, Fang Lang, and Lee Ling were all lost in the sinking of the Titanic, and none of their bodies were recovered or identified. Lee Bing managed to board lifeboat Collapsible C and was later transferred to lifeboat No. 13, the only survivor from his seven colleagues.
