Mini Biography

Jakob Alfred Wiklund was traveling with his brother, Karl Johan Wiklund, and their friend, Anna Sofia Sjöblom, and they all boarded the Titanic at Southampton, England on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912.

Karl Johan Wiklund and Jakob Alfred Wiklund were both bound for Montreal, Quebec, whilst Anna Sofia Sjöblom was traveling to Olympia, Washington.

Karl Johan Wiklund and Jakob Alfred Wiklund were both lost in the sinking, and only the body of Karl Johan Wiklund was recovered and identified.

Anna Sofia Sjöblom managed to board lifeboat No. 16, and survived the sinking of the Titanic.

Jakob Alfred Wiklund was buried in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
