Helene Ragnhild Ostby was traveling with her husband, Englehart Cornelius Ostby, and they boarded Titanic at Cherbourg, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, bound for Providence, Rhode Island.

Helene Ragnhild Ostby managed to board lifeboat 5, and survived the sinking. Englehart Cornelius Ostby was lost in the sinking, but his body was recovered and identified.
