The Countess of Rothes was traveling with her cousin, Gladys Cherry, and her maid, Roberta Elizabeth Mary Maioni, and they all boarded the Titanic at Southampton, England on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912.

The Countess of Rothes and Roberta Elizabeth Mary Maioni were bound for Vancouver, British Columbia, whilst Gladys Cherry was traveling to New York City, New York .

The Countess of Rothes, Roberta Elizabeth Mary Maioni and Gladys Cherry all managed to board lifeboat No. 8, and survived the sinking of the Titanic.
