Postby Andrew Clarkson » Mon Sep 21, 2009 9:01 pm

The world-renowned Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition will surface for a three-month run Oct. 1 at the Rochester Museum & Science Center.

The artifacts to be on display arrived at RMSC over the weekend and staff were today beginning the task of preparing the exhibit.

The exhibit will be open Oct. 1 through Jan. 18 in the museum’s Riedman Gallery.

It features more than 125 artifacts conserved from the ship’s debris field, re-created first ant third-class cabins, photographs and an iceberg, providing a chronicle of the RMS Titanic.

The exhibit will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1); and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Admission is $17; $15 for seniors and college students; $14 for age 3 to 18; and $5 for museum members (fees include museum admission).

For details and reservations, call (585) 697-1942 or go to www.rmsc.org.
