FLINT, MI – Artifacts from the Titanic are headed for the Sloan Museum.

The world's largest ship, the Titanic sank on April 15, 1912, after hitting an iceberg and more than 1,500 lost their lives as a result.

"Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition" will showcase artifacts from the ship's debris field. The exhibit will be at Sloan from Jan. 21, 2017, until May 21, 2017, and is sponsored by Health Alliance Plan.

The exhibit is expected to be announced at Sloan Museum during a news conference on Tuesday, June 14.

Visitors to the exhibit will be able to see artifacts such as china etched with the logo of the White Star Line, pieces of the Titanic and recreations of rooms within the ship.
