Titanic cemetery in Halifax to get speed bumps

The world's largest Titanic memorial burial site hasn't moved for 104 years. But visitors are still in a hurry to get there.

Fairview Cemetery staff in Halifax have asked that speed bumps be installed along the site's roadways, citing "a potential safety issue" from speeding motorists.

Each summer, the grounds become congested with cruise ship passengers and tourists seeking to visit the last resting place of 121 Titanic passengers who died when the oceanliner sank in 1912.

The cemetery has hundreds of other graves and still has frequent burials. The posted speed limit at the cemetery is 10 km/h
