Lodge at the Stanley Table dinner guests took a culinary journey back in time last weekend, as they enjoyed a 10-course menu similar to the last meal served on the Titanic.
Award-winning chef Robert Corey prepared the meal, which included Oysters "Rockefeller,"Foie Gras, Consommé "Olga," Salmon "Mi Cuit," Wild Duck, Punch "Romaine," Braised Lamb, Roasted Sirloin "Lili," Salade and Steamed Waldorf Pudding.
"We've modernized it a little bit," Corey said of the menu. "We're going to take you on a journey, one course at a time."
He mentioned he'd always wanted to serve the Titanic's last meal.
"My grandfather, in the 60s, he and my grandmother traveled on steamers all across the world. He had a scale model of the Titanic," Corey added. "I've always had an interest in that."
