Titanic tea at Wisbech school

Tripping the light fantastic and tucking into afternoon tea has helped to bring a school project to life for Wisbech youngsters.

Year 6 children at Peckover Primary School have been learning about the Titanic.

The youngsters have been looking at how and who built the liner.

Before heading off to half-term, youngsters began to learn more about the first, second and third class passengers.

Children enjoyed an afternoon tea along with learning how to dance the Irish Jig, Waltz and Charleston from Louise and Paul Tombleson.

They have also designed and constructed cake stands as part of the project, which encompasses all of the curriculum. Teacher Kate Kendal said: “The children absolutely love the dancing and picked it up really quickly.
