Titanic story sinks without documentation

Enclosed is a photo of a small vase that belonged to my mother who was born in 1912. She always told me it was a present from her aunt when she was a baby — and the story is that it had come off the Titanic. Any information would be appreciated.

While trying to do an appraisal, the one task I hate with a proverbial purple passion is looking up pattern names for various kinds of pressed glass. There are zillions of these pattern names, and it can take a very long time to thumb through various books until the name turns up.

Happily, this one did not take quite as long as many because it is a fairly common one that is seen with some frequency. It is called "Ripple" and was made by the Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio.
