My work in 3DS Max - Titanic Model

Postby inz.germanista » Fri Mar 29, 2013 9:24 pm

Hi, maybe someone remembers. I posted here about three or four years ago when I started the project. I used then another login, but here are some of work done so far. I'm getting back to project after a few years and in future there will be posted progress about my work.

My knowledge about modeling in 3D are now much bigger then it was then and some of work here doesn't satisfy myself, but it's matter of the future to come.

So here are some pics of what I got so far from about April 2010. Pics of A Deck are not up to date, after took those I've done windows in enclosed promenade.

PS. Forgive me if my english isn't perfect, it's not my mother language.

Now I'm prepairing the Hull of whole ship.
My goal is to model every deck inside the ship with as complete as can be interior of what was avabilive to walk (I'd make a few private rooms - in my language (Polish) it's called "kabina pasażerska").

I'd be happy about every opinions, advices and detals of the ship. It was my hobby since young childhood, but I know I don't know everything ("Outa ein edios").

Hello Inz.germanista. Looks like you have done a lot of work on this. I would not know where to start on a project like this. Well done. Ken.

It's one of biggest projects of mine. Before this I finished great part of my home and interior of my old car when I wished to change a bit and want to see first how it'll be seen. What to start? Well, this are some pics of the very begining:

Still with rounded Whell House frontall wall acording to blueprints.

In the last pic you can see old theard on this forum in dualview with runing Maxik... ;) And windows on enclosed 1st class promenade on A deck.

A lot of work? Well, not so much as with my face (still incomplete)... ;) Or as with my home (excecly to the milimeters).

PS. In UTC+1 timezone it's late now and I'm going to sleep. ;)

New work done. Had to be hull but after a think through I've decided to stay with primary objectives, first to model the decks and then hull acording to deck lines insted of poor quality blueprints of hull.

So here are shots of the B deck, already done railing on Forecastle Deck.
