He specifically mentioned the barking of the dog which allowed the ship to find the last lifeboat in the mist


There is photographic evidence that there was no mist on the morning of 15 April. Some 'evidence'!

The papers were not above making things up. Read the story attributed to Lucy Duff Gordon, complete with whales swimming among the boats.

Dave,Yes there are a lot of fairy stories about the Titanic,but people are apt to believe a lie before the truth,when the truth is told it takes a long time to be believed,however the dog stories are good and most of them I believe are true,but then some maybe not witness reports of the time are believed but not all.
