Hello. I read that John Jacob Astor wrote a science fiction book. Does anyone know what it was called? Ken.

HellO Andrew. Thanks for that info. Just looked on the "abebooks" site they have 16 first editions on offer ranging in price from £66 - £463. Modern reprints seem on the high side with a 2007 edition at £52 and a 2009 edition at £40. Ken

Andrew,Further to the subject of Mr Astor, some time ago I was in Plymouth England, and was looking to book into a Hotel as I was staying for two nights, and walked along a road near Plmouth Hoe where Sir Francis Drake played bowls before defeating the Spanish Armada, anyway I saw a Hotel called the Astor Hotel, booked in and found that this was the formerley the town house of the Astors,I beleive it is still there as a hotel.
