Build The Titanic (Hachette Magazine)

This is still an on going project of mine but every time I try and crack on with it something always crops up

I will finish it one day I am sure although I have gone wrong in some places and not best pleased with it.

Rose,
How did you get here - nearly everyone seems to have gone - I had to re-rgeister to get back, using my original user name and password.

I bought two Hachette "build the Titanic" sets in early 2009. Began building one and for some reason I stopped on May 9th 2009. I really must get back to it some time soon. Ken.

They sell a little Build Your Own Titanic kit at the Titanic Museum in Branson, Missouri. And I like on that museum where it has the bridge with the helm (and I think I remember the throttle controllers :))

Hello Iwan. That looks great. Maybe seeing yours will kick start me into getting on with mine. I am almost at the stage yours was in your first picture. I see you have not used those little brass rivet thingys for the windows. I to decided to leave them off mine as they looked wrong. Ken.

Hello Rose. I do think the Titanic model looks more realistic without the rivets but what made me not use them was I knew that if I did not drill the port hole windows in exactly straight lines then the rivets would make it look even worse. Ken.

That's really a terrific job you have done in constructing your model; I am envious of the detail. Keep us posted on your progress!

Cheers!
