It looks like the film will not be shown 'inside' the dry dock. For safety reasons it has now been moved to beside the dry dock. It should still be a memorable experience. The giant dry dock gate is original but it is leaking very badly. The water is constantly being pumped out. I heard on the radio today the dry dock gate is in serious bad condition and it could be breached by the sea at any time. Plans have already been made to build a new gate.

It is going to be shown tonight at the same time the Titanic left Belfast. It will be scary to hear the Titanic's horn on loud speakers at the same moment she said goodbye.

Hello Aaron2010. Sounds a lot safer to me especially now that you told us the dry dock is leaking. And I hope the weather is fine for you. Ken.

Watch out for fog! 4th officer Boxhall said the Titanic sailed into fog when she sailed from Belfast to Southampton. It was during the night and lasted for 4 hours. Titanic would have sounded her horn as she sailed blind down the Irish Sea. Imagine if you were in a fishing boat and you saw a giant mass coming out of the fog towards you. Titanic did not have many people in her at this time, so most of her lights were off. A really scary thing to see. I wonder if the coastal light ships had to guide the Titanic.

They had built the Bow and grand-staircase of Titanic I also wished they had built other main parts of the Titanic for the 100th anniversary.

Bridge' wheelhouse,
Engines,
Turkish-baths.

Hello. Well I am all packed and ready to go. Thanks Aaron for reminding me about the fog. At a guess I think we (my ship) will be passing where Titanic passed exactly 100 years before some where around Lands End at the tip of Cornwall. I will be looking out for a vision of Titanic as she heads towards Southampton. If I get a picture we might be able to see if it really was Olympic that left on April 10th. See yer all when I get back. Ken.

I saw 'A Night To Remember' last night beside Titanic's dry dock here in Belfast. Over 500 people attended. There was a ceremony before the movie began at 8pm and we all had to stand and give a minute silence to mark the exact moment the Titanic left Belfast. It was very eerie. It felt like the whole world had stopped. Not a whisper could be heard, only the quiet ripples from the water. It was a moment I shall never forget. Here are some photos I took.

The weather was calm but it was freezing cold and it rained towards the end of the film. It was certainly a memorable experience.

Here is how I commemorated it. I posted it in the music section but that don't seem to have much buzz. Everyone who has heard this song loves it. Its for the lost and thier loved ones! Enjoy.
