Hard to believe indeed. That was such a beautiful wedding! I DVR'd it from my home in Louisiana, USA!

The Royal Mail is still in effect and its name has not been changed because I get packages from my sister in England all the time and it says Royal Mail on the packages. I would assume that all Royal Mail that goes overseas goes by air now, though.

Aly Jones,I think I have answered this RMS before but anyway, realised that we still have Royal Mail Ships or those who have permission to carry Mail still delivering Royal Mail to what were Dependencies,in name and probably some Crown Colonies, which are still situated around the World. Some of these islands have no Airport it seems but this RMS subject is quite interesting, also there has been talk of getting rid of the titale royal mail as well Britain, some of the Royal Services have been shpped out to private firms so I believe. Aly Jones,Further to my last post it looks like Queen Mary 2 has RMS conferred on this ship, however it looks as if it is usally just Queen Mary 2,which is just a bit confusing,is it painted on the Ship R.M.S or just conferred,I would have thought that this should or would be the case.As type this I have just remembered a few doors away from me is a man who does 3 or three voyages a year, and not only does he know about ships he also has a photographic memory as well,I will just pop round and see if he is in. Titanic_Malaysia wrote:Pat, looks like you're getting quite a lot of exposure and information related to the Titanic, from the people you meet etc. And there certainly is a very active scene for Titanic societies in the British Isles as well, too bad here in Malaysia, people are mainly fans of THAT 1997 movie, not the ship!

Also, I bought this good book called "The Story of the Unsinkable - Titanic" from one of the local bookshops... It has loads of stories as well as newspaper cuttings on the Titanic, before the maiden voyage to after the sinking, and on to discovery of the wreck... Here's how it look likes, a perfect reading material for us Titanic fans!

I think I have to buy this book it really looks interesting. It's always great to get some background information. Well I looked some documentaries about the Titanic this year on TV, there were plenty of them at the same time. This was great (normally on TV I just see crap.. :/). I also like to get serenata flowers in london and think of all the people related.

Pat, good for you and your society, mate! :D

And if your proposed DVD on the real history of the Titanic comes out, how can I purchase it? I doubt I'll be able to make a visit to Belfast anytime soon, due to distance and with first child coming soon! :)

Putting other people's contact info here isn't permitted, Pat, but there's no problem putting your own address/phone/email/etc. here if you wish.
