2/16/12 - Carnival Elation quayside oil incident

I was on the Carnival Elation the day that this occurred. So, here's the story.

After I boarded the ship, a truck hauling a big tanker of oil that was refueling the ship ruptured and spilled oil all over people's luggage that was waiting in crates to be put on the ship. This did not affect me because I brought my luggage with me. We didn't leave New Orleans until about 2 AM Central time
