I live in North Carolina, United States of America and have four cats. I've been fascinated by the story and legend of Titanic for a very long time now and always facinated to learn new information about the story and to just chat with other people like also like talking about this great ship and its tragic tale.

Hello. I'm Pat Kistler, you remember me as Emil Brandeis on the old forum. I am located in Kearney, Nebraska, and 40 years old. The Titanic has long been an interest of mine, having studied it since 1980. Since studying the Titianic, I have also ventured into other shipping disasters, such as the Lusitania, the Morro Castle and the Andrea Doria.

Other interests include amateur radio, any hams out there know me as KB0YTP. I also collect maps and Russ Trolls. I am also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

When I am not causing trouble, I work as a broadcast operations engineer for the local ABC/FOX station here in town.

Greetings everyone. My name is Ali Marie, friends call me Smurfette. I am a 32 year old professional college student, as I have been in college for the last 8 years, and finally settling on a major of a doctorate in Forensics. I have three years to complete before I graduate, hopefully. The Titanic, and the disaster surrounding her has interested me for quite a while now. I remember back in junior high school when I used to want to write reports on it, and all my teachers would wince, because they knew I would be surrounded by books, and obvlivious to everything around me.

Now, I'm like that with my course load in college, that has nothing to do with the Titanic, but I still enjoy watching movies, and documentaries surrounding it.

I currently live in Nebraska, I am engaged to the best man on the planet [Ben] and we have two welsh pembroke corgis [GracieAnn and Grover] and an australian red heeler/chow [Mason]

Best wishes to all of you, and thanks for reading this...I know I tend to go off subject quite a bit. (Could explain why I've been in school for the last 8 years...)

Looks like the whole of the board is starting over. I had to re-register since none of my old account information would work. My username is my real name as well. I'm a retired sailor living in South Carolina and currently work for Lowe's in...well...pretty much whatever department my warm body is needed in.

My interests are in maritime/naval as well as aviation history. I also have an interest in Biblical history/scholarship from a technical standpoint, but since that sort of thing could tend to ruffle some feathers, I won't be discussing it here.

I'm a member of the U.S. Naval Institute, the Titanic Historical Society, Titanic International Society, The Committee For Skeptical Inquiry (Associate member) and The Skeptic's Society.

Any explanations?

Hi my names Cameron, I'm 17 years old i live in east England, I'm currently working with my dad who is a professional builder. I'm going to be joining the royal navy hopefully this year as a mine warfare specialist, I'm going to be starting my A levels and i might even think about obtaining a degree in history. Fingers crossed.

My interest in titanic dates back to when i was 12, we had to produce a diary based of an account of a real or made up character, I've been hooked ever since really, infact its the main reason why i look for a career at sea.

I am a youtuber my username being Toacamater, i plan on creating my own documentary series themes around countries and there maritime interests, hopefully i can gain a large audience.

But yes, that's pretty much it.
Dedicated Youtuber, check out my YouTube channel (link under avatar) for titanic and maritime related video's. 490+ subscribers and counting! I also have plans to create my own documentary series. Pm me to find out more!

Hello everyone :D I've only just joined, having heard about the board from imdb. It sounded like a great place to come and discuss Titanic with others, despite the fact you kind of have to start over again after whatever happened got rid of the posts! Anyway, about myself - I'm Sabrina, I'm 18 years old, I live in the west midlands of England. I've just finished school and am hoping to go to university to study English literature (depending on A level results!) I've had an interest in Titanic probably since I first saw the 1997 film.

Can't say for sure, Shipbuilder. Obviously, something went very badly wrong and my boss spent the weekend trying to pick up the pieces. If Andy has anything he feels it's appropriate to discuss, I'll leave it to his good offices to do so.

I'm Dave Gittins and I'm one of the antiques of the forum. To put it in perspective, Captain Rostron died a few months after I was born.

I'm the author of a massive e-book on Titanic and I'm involved in other writing projects that will be revealed in time.

I live in Adelaide, South Australia. It's a sprawling city of 1.2 million. When weather permits, I go sailing in my little yacht, Chloe II. You can see her on my web site. My other interests include cycle racing, though I don't ride these days, and classical music. I have two black cats called Nero and Pelé and they keep my company when I'm at the computer. Pelé is demanding a treat right now, so I'd better sign off.

Yippeeeee. I'm back in after trying a lot of times. My name is Ken Sweeney although my user name on here is VW1956 mainly because I have a 1956 Volkswagon which I have owned for 41 years. I am 61 and am still feeling real miffed at losing all that info on the "old" forum. I have three children who are now grown up children. Have a small house not far from the sea (Medway) but live in London during the week. Have been very interested in all things Titanic since 1997. yes it was the fabulous film that did it for me. Welcome all and hoping for many happy years of posting. Ken.

Postby Marion » Wed Jun 29, 2011 8:36 am

Hello again everyone, I'm Marion and I first joined the forum a couple of years ago... I've been through "Titanic phases" on and off since I was in my early teens and watched SOS Titanic which really caught my imagination then shortly afterwards i found out that my grandmother knew Bruce Ismay, which confirmed my interest. I live in London with my cats, since the recession I've been trapped in a miserable job with a bunch of numbercrunchers and I live for the weekends when I spend much of my time as a volunteer with a historic site.

Was so sorry to see what had happened here and look forward to helping build the forum up again.
