I wonder why I cannot get into the first class lounge even in tour mode. Is there any kind of special item that I must download?

I recently picked this up again after discovering the demo cd while organizing all my computer discs. I have successfully gotten it to run near flawlessly on windows xp sp3. Only thing I find that sometimes occures is a random crash if I try to do something too fast (moving quickly, clicking too much, etc). Still using the original disc I got in xmas 1996.

I snapped these from the old site back in '96. Still had them on my old Macintosh, transfered them from floppy disk onto a newer Vista laptop, and used a USB to transport them onto my MacBook. Here they are. From the old site.

I wanted to ask: is it possible to find the entire game soundtrack somewhere? Like, with the music in the sinking? I tried Google but I didn't get very far before my search results trailed off to something else.. Any ideas?

YouTube has a couple of videos with the soundtrack on them. Download them using TechCrunch's YouTube downloader.

TechCrunch's YouTube downloader? I've never heard of it... however I do have something called Fast Video, and that puts YouTube videos to FLVs..

Hey There, i have just signed up!

Today i was cleaning out my cupboard and found this game again! I havnt played it since atleast 2000!

I installed it on my new PC, but was absolutly gutted when i found that it crashes everytime the waiter guy comes in at the beginning.

I thought it could be a problem with my disc, so i found a torrent for the game and downloaded it, but alas, it froze in the same spot!!

has anyone else experienced this? is there a cure?

I dont remember ever having any problems with it when i first bought the game?

Thanks
Tom

Hello, at the start of the game, what is it that the landlady is saying every time you open the door?

"Sneaking out are yer? I want me money!"
"They said you was important but not now, you're just old. Old and broke!"
"When do I get me money?? When???"

and then there was something about throwing you out in the streets if you don't pay your rent - "You're two weeks late for your rent, war or no war if you don't pay today it's the streets! I promise you" or something like that.

Have managed to install it on Vista.

If you open windows explorer and then double click the set up file, it should install.

Hope this helps.

I am interested in seeing a re-vamp of this game. But make it so that you can explore more of the ship and make it more accurate is what I do ask. They at the time when they have made it but there was too much limitations back then so they had to settle with what they had got and now here we are with access to much more reference materials and such that I believe that we can pull this off. I am only good as a researcher for reference materials and I have some reference materials on hand as well and I can help find some more.

Thanks for putting a glimmer of hope in a re-vamp of this game.

Titanic : Adventure Out Of Time REMAKE !!!!!

Postby jman6495 » Thu Jun 11, 2009 7:13 pm

Hi ,
Are You one of those many people who cant find a good full titanic model??????
well ,There is one ,or there was , it is called Titanic adventure out of time ,
it is a old game that has compatibility problems with xp and in some cases vista too. it has 256 colour 640x480 graphics and has some problems BUT:
i am thinking of remaking it , if it is ok with the forum administrators , i have the 2 disks stored as files on my pc.
i would need the following help
Programmers : Several ,for recoding the main program and installer Plus adding 32bit graphics and at least 1024x768 Resolution.

artists : I would need artists to develop the new textures for the ship

titanic know-it-alls : ok , i know quite a bit but i need help , people who know the rooms more and can help us make the model better.

i would need many volunteers and if we are REALLY lucky someone who worked on the game for cyberflix to tell us about the file formating (etc...)

thankyou and if you are interested ,post below and watch this topic!

Hi, I'm currently frustrated, because after a very long time of searching a couple of years after moving, I finally found the CDs and now, none of the computers in the house has enough memory. Ah well, delete, delete, delete.

Titanic adventure out of time was and still is one of my favorite PC games. I have played it so many times, and yet I never get tired of it. However, currently I am using Vista so I cannot play the game without it crashing at some point in time. I have always wondered why cyberflix or anyone else hasn't made a remake that would have better graphics and would work on vista. If it is possible to remake I would definately buy it! Just let me know if you have found out anything about a possible remake.

If you have the real necklace, and the Rubaiyat before the sinking begins it is quicker to let Zietel shoot you as it saves you running down into the bowels of the ship.

Titanic Adventure out of Time

Postby Keith Weisshar » Mon Oct 05, 2009 1:00 pm

Why can't I install Titanic Adventure out of Time under Windows Vista 64-bit? Is there a way to install the game manually. The setup.exe file is only 16-bit.

Amazingly the game still comes through 13 years later. I have successfully installed the game in Windows 7. Windows requires all compatibility options be enabled, I don't have to tell it to run in a mode, just as long as its set for 256 and 640 with themes turned off. I also have the demo disc, that one doesn't want to run in 7, the only way I can get that to work is in a windows 98 virtual machine (oddly the full game doesn't want to run in the virtual machine, only the demo game).

If you loved this game as I did, then you will really love 'The Last Express'. You are a passenger onboard the Orient Express in 1914 just as war is about to break. There are many endings to the game and the atmosphere around you is simply amazing. You can sit down to dinner with the other passengers or just stay in your room and watch the clock go by (It plays in real time) day/night.
