Greenock pupils' Titanic trip

GREENOCK schoolchildren are preparing to set sail on an exciting journey to Northern Ireland for a maritime trip down memory lane.

The primary five pupils at Ardgowan Primary have been offered the chance to visit Titanic Belfast — the world’s largest attraction dedicated to the ill-fated liner.

Head teacher Alison McLellan, who will accompany the children alongside their class teacher Lorraine Gribbon, said it’s the perfect opportunity to bring learning to life.

She said: “Both of our primary five classes have been learning about Titanic and it’s amazing story, so this will bring that home to them.
