Titanic treat sails into Welwyn Garden City

COMEDY classical string trio Pluck will appear at the Hawthorne Theatre in Welwyn Garden City at the second attempt this week with their production of The Titanic Show.

THEY were due to appear at Campus West in April, but they hit their very own iceberg when ill-health dogged the company.

Now, however, the triumphant silliness of Pluck – the world’s funniest string trio – has made it to WGC and they will finally tell us their version of the Titanic on Friday.

When you think of music and the Titanic, that famous phrase ‘and the band played on’ springs to mind.

Well, that and diva Celine Dion, who just went on and on! But, ignoring the Canadian songstress for a moment, just why did The Band play on?
