As various events were held to mark the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, pupils at Newtown Primary School decided they wanted to commemorate it differently.
The Muddy Boots Gardening Club at the Gosport school meets three times a week to work on gardening skills.
Members learn how to remove weeds and plant flowers, among other horticultural tasks.
And to mark major events, the children also create themed gardens.
For Titanic, they made a memorial garden, including an iceberg, and people’s faces in the ship’s windows.
