Working with the stop-motion (or claymation) form of animation made famous by Britain's Aardman Animations and Melbourne's Adam Elliot (Harvie Krumpet), Asher is getting closer to perfecting his own signature "look".
"I'm starting to get my own style," he says. "It's pretty hard because Aardman's Wallace and Gromit and Adam Elliot, they have very prominent styles. My style is a bit of those put together."
Asher is 14 and says: "I've been doing stop-motion since I was 10. I grew up watching Wallace and Gromit and I really liked the look of it. So one day I wanted to try it out.
"I found some plasticine in the cupboard and just started playing around with it. I gradually started taking it more seriously and heard of film festivals like Little Big Shots and that's when I thought, 'OK, I can make films and try to get them recognised'."
