Elizabeth Weed Shutes boarded the Titanic at Southampton, England, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, traveling to Greenwich, Connecticut.

Elizabeth Weed Shutes was governess to Margaret Edith Graham, and travelled with her and her mother, Edith Graham.

Margaret Edith Graham, Edith Graham and Elizabeth Weed Shutes all managed to board lifeboat No. 3, and they all survived the sinking of Titanic.

Elizabeth Weed Shutes died on the 27th October, 1949 and she was buried in Waterville Cemetery, Waterville, Oneida County, New York, U.S.A.
