Carrie Constance Chaffee was traveling with her husband, Herbert Fuller Chaffee, and they boarded the Titanic at Southampton, England, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, traveling to Amenia, New York.

Carrie Constance Chaffee managed to board lifeboat No. 4, and survived the sinking of Titanic, but Herbert Fuller Chaffee was lost in the sinking of the Titanic, and his body was not recovered or identified.

Carrie Constance Chaffee died on 4th July, 1931, and was buried in Amenia Cemetery, Amenia, Cass County, North Dakota, U.S.A.
