Also traveling with the Johnston family was Margaret Ann Watson Ford, Eliza Johnston's sister, and her four children, Dollina Margaret Ford, Edward Watson Ford, William Neal Thomas Ford, Robina Maggie Ford, together with Alice Phoebe Harknett, a family friend.
Margaret Ann Watson Ford, Dollina Margaret Ford, Edward Watson Ford, William Neal Thomas Ford, and Robina Maggie Ford, Eliza Johnston, Andrew Emslie Johnston, William Andrew Johnston, Catherine Nellie Johnston and Alice Phoebe Harknett were all lost in the sinking, and none of their bodies were recovered.
